Leprous – The Price (2015) – Track Review

Leprous‘ upcoming album “The Congregation” has unveiled it’s first taster in ‘The Price’ and it’s accompanying music video. The video itself is low key, featuring the band members performing in a dark room, with a female dancer in a similar room, and also a concurrent narrative, contrastingly shot.

It is a great choice for a single; giving a very similar sound but also sounding refreshing, new and holding the potential for wider dynamics. It still fits in tune with their progressive rock sound, but is restricted in it’s indulgence, enough for a single. This does not detract from the overall quality of the song.

Verdict – 7/10 – Leaves a lot of room for imagination but is a solid example of the future release of “The Congregation
