Top 15 Albums of the Year, 2014 – #10: Slipknot – .5: The Gray Chapter

10. Slipknot – .5: The Gray Chapter

It took a long while but they finally delivered. It did not disappoint either. I’m not a long time Slipknot fan so I’d be lying if I said I was eagerly awaiting for this on the edge of my seat. However, I was very interesting in what they would do in the wake of the terrible past few years they’ve had. What they made was something that hearkened back to their older sound and dynamic but, at the same time opening a new chapter into the future of the band, should they continue. I’m all for it. It’s an evolution they clearly desire and with their growing maturity it’s no surprise, they’re not angry about everything any more.

It is a little long though…
