Motionless In White – Infamous (2012) – Album Review

Quick Review – As seen in Metal Hammer Jan 2013 Edition

Pennsylvanian metal-heads, Motionless in White, return with a brand new album. Two years after their first full length they’ve gained a dedicated fan-base and asserted themselves as a pulverising live act, meaning expectations are high. Metalcore is a genre that’s been overly exploited but MiW rejuvenises it with their industrial and gothic sound. Catchy songs like America, coupled with the familiar breakdowns in Puppets 2 and adding softer, more dynamic aspects, like Sinematic, form their foundations. Lyrically it’s dense and the instrumentals are melodic but not overly incredible, however it’s still entertaining for new metalcore/industrial fans. I give it 7/10
